Ride. Smile. Grow.

AHEAD With Horses is devoted to improving the quality of life of disabled, disadvantaged, and special needs children through equine therapy using vaulting also known as gymnastics on a horse. Whether it’s seeing a smile from an otherwise “non-responsive” child, or watching someone taking their first steps, the hundreds of children we serve each year regularly hit major physical, mental, and emotional milestones—gifts that last a lifetime.

COVID-19 Updates – October 2021

ALL Volunteers & Staff MUST be VACCINATED by Nov. 30, 2021

This means that ALL VOLUNTEERS coming on site must have had 1 shot if J&J, or 2 shots if Moderna or Pfizer/Comirnaty, by November 30th, 2021.

AWH is now in an updated Phase 7 of our Reopening plan. We are able to hold lessons for students that are able to wear a mask and will allow students who need more physical assistance.

Masks MUST be worn by all students, whether they are vaccinated or not.

We will ONLY make exceptions for students who are COMPLETELY VACCINATED (2 weeks past their final shot) and CANNOT wear a mask.

ALL instructors, leaders and spotters are REQUIRED to wear a mask during lessons.

The health of all of our students, families, volunteers, and friends is most important.

Thank you

If you believe your child is ready to return to lessons or you have already coordinated your return with our staff, please complete the following risk assessment form and email it to info@awhla.org. An AWH staffer will review and reach out to you regarding next steps.
