On August 25th, we hosted an afternoon of yummy refreshments to honor special invited guests. Timi’s Tea is named in honor of a former board member who had the vision for this event. Major donors, GEM donors, and volunteers who donated more than 40 hours during the last fiscal year (ending June 30th) earned an invitation. Everyone enjoyed the tasty treats and the chance to relax and socialize. Volunteers who donated more than 80 hours received a special certificate of appreciation. Though not all were present to accept their certificate, here are the volunteers who earned this recognition: Alex Aguilar, Lisa Baragosh, Judy Beem, Julie Casey, Pam Currie, Wendy Eav, Meghan Junge, Nancy Kenyon, Arline Latino, Judi Lohne, Kathleen Meyer, Floyd Newman, Andrea Pinto, and Stephanie Sheinberg. Additionally, each year one individual is honored with the Volunteer Extraordinaire designation for outstanding contribution. This year that honoree was Arline Latino, who in addition to volunteering over 100 hours of service last fiscal year, is one of our longest serving weekly volunteers.
