I write today with deep urgency and profound hope. As the Board President and an Instructor at AHEAD With Horses, I’ve seen firsthand the transformative power of our equine therapy program for disabled, disadvantaged, and special‑needs children…the smiles, the first steps, the confidence that blooms. Since 1968, we’ve been a pillar of this community.

But today, we face a crisis.

Despite the high impact we’ve maintained, we find ourselves with only 6 months of operating funds remaining.

Why Now?
Over the last few years, a combination of unprecedented challenges has pushed us to the brink

• COVID-19 severely disrupted our operations, programs, and fundraising at a time when families needed us most.
• Permit delays and zoning hurdles on our new property drained time, resources, and momentum.
• We made the responsible decision to list the property for sale, but real estate takes time and our runway is rapidly shrinking.
• Grants have become increasingly competitive, and fee-for-service models simply don’t cover the true cost of providing developmental therapeutic riding sessions
