Sullivan Canyon Demonstration a Success

On Sunday, September 29th we held a demonstration and fundraiser at our Westside location in Sullivan Canyon. Guests enjoyed yummy tacos from Chef Roy’s Kogi BBQ Food Truck (sponsored by the Sullivan Canyon Preservation Association), Susie’s cupcakes for dessert, the opporunity to bid on some great items, and a special musical performance by Chantal Kreviazuk. We thank the very talented Scott Haze for serving as M-C.  Of course the highlight was seeing four of our students showcase our program. Our Executive Director explained the positions the students demonstrated and the parents shared how the program has benefited their children. It is only through the amazing support of our donors that we are able to fulfill our mission of helping every student achieve success.

We are very grateful to the Sullivan Canyon Preservation Association Board for allowing us to hold an event there, and for their generous support not just for Sunday’s event, but for the continuing and growing partnership that enables us to serve students on the Westside. A huge thank you also to Happy and Larry for the use of Princess Minty and all of the members of the community who support us and loan us their horses.
